Stock market today: S&P 500, Nasdaq hit investor optimism regarding the artificial intelligence boom and upcoming earnings reports outweighed concerns over a global bond sell-off and rising diesel prices.

The Nasdaq Composite (^IXIC) climbed 0.4% to secure a second consecutive record high, driven by shares of Nvidia (NVDA) and AMD (AMD) reaching all-time peaks.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (^DJI) gained 0.5%. The S&P 500 (^GSPC) rose 0.7%, marking its first record closing high since August.
