Tiger Brokers Extends Hours for US Options Trading Worldwide

Tiger Trade users now have the ability to trade options on 24 popular US stocks, including Tesla, NVIDIA, and Apple, for up to two hours before the market opens and 15 minutes after the closing bell.

Orders are transmitted directly to US exchanges, providing investors to trade more than 20 popular US stocks during pre-market sessions (7:30–9:25 a.m. ET) and post-close sessions (4:00–4:15 p.m. ET). The firm is among the first global brokers to offer this functionality, marking the latest phase in its effort to provide international investors with professional-grade tools and improved market access.

Acting on News as It Breaks

Many of the most significant catalysts in the US market, such as <a s movement had already occurred. These extended hours bridge that gap, enabling Tiger Trade clients to hedge exposure, adjust their positions, or capitalize on new opportunities as news develops.

The pre-market Global Trading Hours (GTH) session operates from 7:30 a.m. to 9:25 a.m. ET, offering nearly two hours of options trading before the open. The post-close Curb session, running from 4:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. ET, provides an additional window to respond to developments like earnings announcements released shortly after the close. Together, these sessions cover options on some of the most actively traded US stocks, which accounted for a significant portion of average daily US-listed options volume through September 2026, according to Cboe Global Markets.

Tiger Trade routes these extended-hours options orders directly to US exchanges. Unlike the over-the-counter market-maker model utilized by some other brokers, connecting directly to exchange liquidity is intended to support more transparent pricing, deeper liquidity, and greater flexibility, potentially reducing trading costs for investors.

“As demonstrated by the demand for Cboe’s proprietary index options outside of regular U.S. trading hours, global investors want the ability to trade and manage U.S. exposure closer to their daytime hours,” said Rob Hocking, Global Head of Derivatives at Cboe Global Markets. “The extended trading hours sessions now give Tiger Brokers clients in eligible jurisdictions access to some of the most actively traded single-stock options.”

Rising Derivatives Activity Across a Global Platform

During the second quarter of 2026, the number of options and futures contracts traded on the Tiger Brokers platform reached 26.3 million, representing a 17.3% increase year-on-year and a 9.6% increase quarter-on-quarter. Extended-hours access complements a series of recent enhancements for options traders on Tiger Trade, including one-click stock-and-options combination trades, take-profit and stop-loss orders for multi-leg strategies, and multi-dimensional volatility analysis.

Tiger Brokers also maintained strong momentum in its global operations. As of June 30, 2026, the firm reached approximately 2.74 million total customer accounts, while total client assets grew 16.7% year-on-year to US$60.7 billion.

With a global user base exceeding 10 million, Tiger Brokers intends to continue expanding its services and products for international clients, delivering professional-grade tools and deeper market access to investors across various time zones and regions.
