Major cryptocurrencies traded sideways on Sunday as U.S. military strikes against Iran entered their ninth straight night.
Crypto Market Coagulates
Bitcoin fluctuated between $64,000 and the low $65,000 range, even as trading volume saw a 12% increase over the previous 24 hours. Dogecoin also experienced little price movement.
Approximately $120 million in crypto positions were liquidated over the last day, with bearish short traders suffering the majority of the losses. Fear sentiment prevailed in the market as Bitcoin prices remained steady despite a surge in ETF inflows and a broader risk-off environment.
Iran Tensions Pressures Stock Futures
Stock futures showed mixed results during Sunday’s overnight session. Dow Jones Industrial Average Futures dipped 16 points, or 0.03%, as of 8:51 p.m. EDT. Meanwhile, futures linked to the S&P 500 rose 0.08%, and Nasdaq 100 Futures increased by 0.32%.
Geopolitical instability kept <a ninth consecutive night" in an ongoing effort to further degrade Iranian military capabilities.
