Crypto Price Analysis, BTC, ETH, XRP, SUI and ADA, October 5: Bitcoin Rebounds, XRP Reclaims Its 20-Day MA as Cardano Gains Nearly 11%

Bitcoin approaches resistance as Ethereum | $2,716.43 | +0.81% | $7.49 billion | 2
$XRP | $1.51 | +1.39% | $1.42 billion | 5
Sui | $1.23 | +4.83% | $827.00 million | 25
Cardano | $0.269078 | +10.78% | $838.82 million | 16

Bitcoin MACD Improves Below $87,330 Resistance

Bitcoin’s daily candle for October 4 opened at $84,743, peaked at $86,737, and finished at $86,515, marking a 2.09% gain. This close pushed $BTC back into the upper portion of its recent trading range, though it failed to overcome the resistance zone between $87,086 and $87,330.

On the four-hour candle that concluded at 00:00 UTC on October 5, the MACD (using 12, 26, and 9 exponential periods) reached 374.95, placing it above the 277.40 signal line. Additionally, the histogram grew from 22.61 to 97.54.

While this indicates strengthening short-term momentum, it does not yet signal a breakout. For $BTC to confirm a move toward the upper-$88,000 level and $89,000, the price must achieve a daily close above $87,330. Conversely, a rejection followed by a close under $84,441 would negate the current bullish setup, potentially reopening levels at $83,898 and subsequently $82,580–$82,950.

Ethereum Holds Above Its Bollinger Midline

Ethereum finished the October 4 session at $2,726.64 after fluctuating between $2,686.33 and $2,736.97. This 1.48% daily increase kept $ETH above the $2,647.91 midline of its daily Bollinger Bands, which are derived from a 20-day simple moving average and two population standard de

The upper band is positioned near $2,852.76, while the lower band sits near $2,443.06. Because $ETH remains within these bounds, the technical setup is constructive but lacks confirmation of a breakout.

A daily close exceeding the $2,737–$2,768 range would bolster the outlook for a climb toward $2,787–$2,804. Should momentum continue, the upper band will serve as the next dynamic target. A close below $2,635 would undermine the structure, shifting focus back to the Bollinger midline and the $2,610–$2,583 support area.

$XRP Reclaims Its 20-Day Moving Average

$XRP concluded October 4 at $1.52, trading within a range of $1.49 to $1.53. This represented a 2.01% gain from the open and kept the asset above its rising 20-day simple moving average of $1.466.

This recovery of the moving average strengthens the short-term outlook, although the latest candle stalled at the lower boundary of resistance. $XRP requires a daily close above $1.56 to confirm a breach of the $1.53–$1.56 supply zone, which would then draw attention toward $1.61 and $1.66.

Falling back below the 20-day average—particularly a close under $1.45—would invalidate this recovery and expose the price to $1.41, followed by $1.37. $XRP will remain range-bound until one of these closing thresholds is breached.

Sui Holds the First Fibonacci Retracement

Sui’s October 4 candle rose 2.54%, ending the day at $1.21 after reaching a high of $1.26.

The Fibonacci retracement levels are calculated based on the rally from the September 15 low of $0.675641 to the September 27 high of $1.29. This establishes the 23.6% retracement at $1.1450, the 38.2% level at $1.0553, the midpoint at $0.9828, and the 61.8% retracement at $0.9103.

A daily close beneath $1.1450 would negate the immediate bullish outlook, potentially leading to a test of $1.0553 and $0.9828. The current $1.23 price is an intraday observation rather than a confirmed signal.

Cardano RSI Rises but Price Still Needs a Closing Breakout

Cardano demonstrated the most significant movement among this group of five assets. Its October 4 candle climbed 6.40%, opening at $0.243888 and closing at $0.259507 after hitting a high of $0.267926.

The 14-period four-hour RSI, using Wilder’s smoothing, climbed to 64.48 by the close of the session, up from 57.91. This indicates improved momentum without reaching the overbought threshold of 70.

Although the live price of $0.269078 exceeded the October 4 high at the time of reporting, this intraday move has not yet been confirmed by a daily close. A close above $0.2679, followed by sustained movement through $0.2750, would confirm the continuation of the trend.

A reversal below $0.2585 would weaken the current attempt, while a close under $0.2425 would invalidate the immediate recovery, leaving the price vulnerable to a drop toward $0.237–$0.230.
