Most recently, Lesesky held the title of Managing Director on the private investment team at UNC Management Company.
In that role, he helped manage private equity investments—including buyout, growth equity, and venture capital strategies—for the $17 billion UNC Investment Fund.
His background includes selecting external managers, developing investment portfolios, managing long-term institutional capital commitments, and evaluating private market opportunities.
Before his tenure at UNC Management Company, Lesesky held investment management positions at Pacific Corporate Group Capital Partners and Hatteras Funds.
Earlier in his professional life, he served as an associate at the venture capital firm Fusion Ventures, an associate in the Investment Banking division at Citigroup, and an analyst at Andersen Consulting.
Lesesky holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he majored in Computer Science and Applied Science with a minor in Mathematics.
He also earned an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina.
At Miras, his appointment supports the firm’s objective of fostering long-term partnerships with both emerging and established private market investment managers.
The family office maintains investment teams in both the Middle East and the United States, managing a globally diversified portfolio that includes venture capital, private equity, hedge funds, and public equities.
With Lesesky at the helm of its private equity division, Miras aims to strengthen its investment program while maintaining a focus on long-term partnerships and disciplined portfolio construction.
